We meet at 1 PM on the third Monday of the month, September through November and January through May, in the Mt. Lebanon Library. You're welcome to join us in Conference Room B. All meetings are free and open to the public.


WELCOME TO THE 2009-2010 SEASON


Special guest speaker - Diane Klinefelter visited Mt. Lebanon on August 3 to provide tips on "Locating Civil War Ancesters." See Page 2.


Program Dates

  • September 21: 2008 Season Opener Prof. John F. Webber provided a "Tour de Force" explaining the origins of family names from a variety of countries. See Page 2.

  • October 19: Norm Meinert will bring his experiences in "Searching Through Cemeteries." He will show the help available on his website for the faint hearted.

  • November 16: Workshop - information exchange. Bring present problems and recent successes.

  • December: No meeting scheduled for the Holidays.


  • January 18, 2010: To open 2010! Lynne Blanning will present a completed "Family History" reviewing the research involved and the sources of help available. Begin 2010 with a new reason to achieve success.

  • February 15, 2010: Researching Your Ancesters Using the LDS Family History Center to Access Latter Day Saints Resources.   Hear about latest improvements in accessability.

  • March 15, 2010: Workshop and information exchange for all attendees.


  • April 19, 2010: TBD

  • May 17, 2010: Bring in your Summer research plans for discussion and recommendations.
